Imagining what they'll look like, what their personality will be like, and preparing your home for a new family member are all so exciting. It is it my mission to take these feelings of hope and anticipation and translate them into memories you'll be able to hold onto forever. Hi, I'm Sarah!

The face and heart behind Rosebud Studio of Photography. I'm a newborn photographer here in Buffalo and am also a mom of two girls, so I'm right there alongside you on this motherhood journey.

When we work together, you can count on a patient, gentle touch with your newborn, a judgement free zone regardless of what your children are doing, creative guidance for outfits, set design, color selections, and my expertise as a professional photographer.

In short, I will help you through every detail of your newborn portrait experience, with the extra love and camaraderie that comes with being a fellow mom.

CONSULTATION

I'd love to hear all about what you're envisioning for a session! During your consultation, we will chat about who's going to be there, what the most meaningful moments you're hoping to capture will be, and I'll give you some ideas on what to wear to feel your best.

If you're a parent (or expecting parent), I'd guess that your calendar is already busy. We offer consultations virtually via Zoom/ FaceTime, or in person at the studio. Some parents will FaceTime during their lunch break at work, some bring their kids with them into the studio, and some will even ask for an evening time slot that's not publicly listed. I know that these photos are important to you and I will do my best to accommodate your family's scheduling needs.

session

The day of your session is when all the magic happens! You'll get a couple of hours to relax in the studio while I work with your newborn and the help to make your entire vision come to life.

We will always start with family portraits first so that you can sit and relax for the remainder of the session (or change into sweats if you want)! Sibling portraits are next, and then baby is the star for the rest of the session.

One unique feature about our studio is that you get to see the images the same day that they're taken. About an hour after the session end time, we will meet up at the studio for you to view your images, select your favorites, and place your portrait order.

Many parents will fill the time before the ordering appointment with a lunch outing in East Aurora. I recommend keeping the whole day free on your calendar if it's possible so that you can enjoy your experience in full, without having to rush to the next outing.
