Sarah was super helpful and great to work with. She was able to get some great pictures of our newborn and we were very happy with the results! Sarah was also very personable and welcoming, making both my wife and I feel at ease with someone working with our 10 day old. I would gladly recommend her to anyone who asked!

We just had family photos done with Sarah, and I am blown away. She was amazing with our two kids - so patient and engaging - and she got the most beautiful shots of our family! I was shocked at how good they turned out. She’s a 10/10 and we will definitely be booking her again in the future!

We love Sarah! She is an amazing photographer, we have used her for the past 4 years for our family pictures. We will continue to use her in the future. She is patient, and great with kids!

10/10 recommend. Sarah is so kind and wonderful to work with. She takes the best pictures of my kids and family. We've used her a couple times and look forward to using her for years to come for all our family pictures!

We absolutely love all the pictures that Sarah has done for us! From maternity pictures to our first Christmas mini photo shoot she is absolutely amazing!

Sarah was amazing! Our son was cranky from a long day and somehow she managed to get him to smile and throw in an occasional giggle! Thank you for a great session!

Sarah did an amazing job! She made sure to get all the detail shots we asked for and helped us feel super comfortable.

I'd love to hear all about what you're envisioning for a session! During your consultation, we will chat about who's going to be there, what the most meaningful moments you're hoping to capture will be, and I'll give you some ideas on what to wear to feel your best.

If you're an expecting parent, I'd guess that your calendar is already busy. We offer consultations virtually via Zoom/ FaceTime, or in person at the studio. Some people will FaceTime during their lunch break at work, some bring their older kids with them into the studio, and some will even ask for an evening time slot that's not publicly listed. I know that these photos are important to you and I will do my best to accommodate your family's scheduling needs.

step 2: your
session

The day of your session is when all the magic happens! You'll get a couple of hours to relax in the studio while I work with your newborn and the help to make your entire vision come to life.

We will always start with family portraits first so that you can sit and relax for the remainder of the session (or change into sweats if you want)! Sibling portraits are next, and then baby is the star for the rest of the session.

One unique feature about our studio is that you get to see the images the same day that they're taken. About an hour after the session end time, we will meet up again at the studio for you to view your images, select your favorites, and place your portrait order.

Many parents will fill the time before the ordering appointment with a lunch outing in East Aurora. I recommend keeping the whole day free on your calendar if it's possible so that you can enjoy your experience in full, without having to rush to the next outing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a newborn session if I don't know when my baby will arrive?
Newborn sessions are booked on a tentative date that falls within approximately 1-2 weeks of your due date. Then when baby arrives, I ask that you reach out within a day or two of delivering so that we can confirm whether the date and time will still work as I try to see babies within their first 21 days of life. I only take on a limited amount of due dates per month to ensure availability for all of my newborn clients, including early or late babies.

Do I need to bring outfits for the baby?
I have everything you could possibly need at the studio including outfits, swaddles, high end props, headbands, hats, accessories, and even the basics such as diapers, sterilized pacifiers, and a bottle warmer. Unless there's something specific you want to bring, all you need to bring is yourself, the baby, and milk or formula!

Where is your studio located?
The address of my studio is 21 Elm St., East Aurora, NY 14052

What happens if my baby is fussy?
I have worked with a wide range of newborn temperaments and more than likely, we will work together to find a way to soothe your baby. I use a heater to keep the studio cozy for your baby and will usually have a sound machine going to soothe him or her as well. If typical soothing tactics aren’t working, we will move on to a feed and a break to snuggle with mom and dad. In more extreme cases, we may need to reschedule for a later date, however this is a rare occurrence that usually happens if baby is unknowingly sick, uncomfortable from reflux, or is experiencing some not yet diagnosed allergies in the formula or breastmilk.
